serious question, please don't turn this into some bs arguement...

IMO it's because most supercharger kits are complete, easy to install, and have boost that is pulley limited. Not much thought has to go into a supercharger installation.
A turbo can make more power per psi, it's cheaper, and it's easier to crank the boost up or down. The downsides to a turbo are some fabrication is usually required, spool time is gear dependant, and they rely on a wastegate to control boost. IMO a turbo requires more thought, time, and effort. It rewards you with gobs of torque.

As a former turbo driver, i have to say I enjoyed my turbo, even more so than my KB, while driving around on the street. The KB kicks it's *** at the track though.

Just got off the phone with Chandler at Brenspeed. I asked him this question. His response was "Do you care about headaches?" He said they install 99% superchargers but do install turbos as well. They have more tech calls on the turbos despite the difference in the number of installations.
Most of the issues involve tuning, rattles and pipe fitment.
So Paxton HO it'll be. Probably not until the end of March though. Don't feel like dealing with possible snowstorms.
BTW. $700 off installation and $100 off the unit if I book, but not necessarily install, in January.

There is a lot to be said for having a power adder that sits directly on top of the intake, vice 3-4 feet of piping through God knows how many turns away.
The way I see it - and yes, this is purely personal opinion - any ******* can smack a KB or Paxton on their intake and call it a day; it takes true skill and dedication to make a turbo (or twin turbo) set up work. All things equal, I will have more respect for the guy that went the turbo route. Far more so if he installed it himself!
