Default HID Retro Solution INSTALL tips?

Just got my 55w HID kit from Retro Solutions, are their any pointers on installing the Hi/Low Digital Kit on a 2010 GT? Where did you mount the Ballast? Ground? I want to install them tonight or tomorrow morning.

i mounted the ballasts with velcro, mount wherever you find space. if you are able to i extended the ground wires that the kit came with and used the factory grounds found underneath the plastic cover thing at the front of the engine bay.

hold on... ill find you a helpful thread.

I mounted each ballast with two industrial zip-ties. You will spend 80% of the time routing wires and making everything look neat.

Don't touch the HID bulbs with your bare fingers.

I would also recommend disabling your headlights when you unlock the car. You have to do a sequence of ignition key turns and pressing the unlock button on the door. Unfortunately I don't have the instructions handy.

Anyone have ideas on how to do this?

I have the Retro Solutions kit as well...I have the ballasts 3m double sided taped to the strut towers. The kit is pretty nice except for I had the light tips coated (extra $50) to prevent blinding people, and it started chipping off after a couple months. They offered me to send the light bulbs back to cap them, but im not sure its worth not being able to drive at night for 5 days +.

think I'm going to uses double sided tape to mount the ballast instead of drilling into the engine bay...I've asked a few car peeps, they said it should be ok. What do you all think?

Something I have read and I did when i installed my RetroSolutions kit. The one gasket that comes with the HID bulb is really not quite thick enough and I was advised to also use the gaskets on the stock bulbs when I removed them , so there is two gaskets on each bulb. Makes the bulbs a bit tight to install but they will lock into place. In the 3-4 years I have been using them I have never had any condensation whatsoever.
