Default Cabin lighting idea?

I've been tossing around an idea in my head for alittle while now and wanted to run it by you all to get your take on it. Currently I'm trying to save money, so modding has pretty much stopped. I've done a few small cosmetic mods, mostly just fixing little things on my car that were broken or bugging me, but nothing major.

One thing that sometimes aggrivates me (and others as I occasionally read on MF) is how dark the cabin is at night! The dome lights illuminate the front half of the cabin decently, but anything in the back half is lost in darkness. I keep papers and random items back there, and it can be frustrating sometimes to fumble around fruitlessly.

I'm considering removing the clothing hanger hooks (seriously, wtf, who needs those?), and in their location installing some sort of recessed mini-puck light fixture. Or possibly buying two mini lenses and fashioning my own fixture which would likely be the easiest. I'd tie it into the dome lights so it'd also have the auto-dimmer feature.

If you figure it out you let me know. I think that is a great idea.

I have ambient lighting back there and a flashlight in the glove box, but I could see how that might be annoying

For really skimped on the lighting inside these cars. Back seats, center console, glovebox etc
