These things happen man, nobody is perfect. Im sure you have made plenty of mistakes in your career field, some of which may have actually had a negative effect on someone. Unless you know how to do everything on your car.. you will need a tech eventually. Some are good, some arent. Some have years of experience, some are just getting started. Just the way it is. let them fix your car, and move on.

He isn't saying he did something wrong as far as the job goes, it got fixed just fine. The problem is the tech or someone in that shop was careless and scratched the car. You can be the smartest tech on the planet and fix a ghost in my system, but if you rub your belt buckle on my quarter panel I'm still going to be angry.

Yes, the tech did fine installing the tail light, but it was his negligence in removing the old tail light, in process, scratching the bumper. And for it being a brand new car, should'nt he have been more careful? Sorry to say, but he's an idiot...
