just pour some distilled water in them after a wash..that water is pure and will not cause water spots so the window will dry spot free and clean

Just put my hose on jet and blast water in there aha. Water spots don't accumulate because there inst any sun drying them. Im washing the car tomorrow morning and will take a photo from the inside after to show you.

the sun does not cause water spots..its hard water drying and the TDS in the water that causes water spots..if you poured purified water on the car in direct sunlight with 0 TDS it will cause zero water spots.

Don't put them on if you're that concerned. Besides, you probably spend too much time scrubing your rear axle and other things nobody ever sees.

Honestly, on some of the louvers, you can get a cloth in far enough to wipe the window down enough that nobody will see any spots on the window. And unless you're in the back seat with a magnifying glass, you (or at least most people) won't notice it.

Then why do people say not to wash or dry a car in direct sunlight?

But thanks for that info, learn something new everyday.

because NO water coming out of a hose is going to be pure water and not filled with TDS in the water. So anything coming out of your hose is going to spot..unless you got a real big water softner system hooked up to it..even then its not PURE like distilled and RO/DI water and can still spot some.
Also has to do if its a real hot day in direct sunlight and your paint maybe very hot..if you hit that with really cold water from your hose..and can cause tiny cracks in the paint from the extreme temp difference.

Also, aside from the extreme temperature differences, washing in the sun will dry the car much fast than in the shade. If in the shade, you will have time to take a microfiber towel and dry off the car to ensure no water spots appear.

I have the CDC louvers. They were not hard to install (just be sure to put them on the right sides!) I haven't noticed them being dirty, and I keep my car very clean most of the time. They are easy to take off with a little goo gone if you end up not liking them.

I really think they make the car look better, if you want them that bad get them. If you don't like them you can always sell them.

I've had mine on the car for over a year with no problems. I use a small bug sponge and shove it in the opening and move it around. Windows are as clean as the day I put the louvers on.

Well then, whenever you leave you 'Stang out in the open, you should take them off and stow them in the truck, LOL
