I was at the 500 this year...
Someone bought my ticket ($180) and I'm glad cause I was bored to death, really.
Not even close to worth that kind of dough IMO.
15 cautions That's one every 10 laps, lol.
Retarded.

And F1 is so politicized it ain't funny.
The only racing I watch anymore is motorcycle stuff, endurance and Rally.
And even those classes have too many rules that stain the passion...

Just wondering, if they are worried about too much top speed go with 4 cylinder engines. Would boost 4 cylinder technology and allow the best engine/race team win. Would definitely separate the great race teams from the mediocre

Mustangs will be there soon. I'm sure of it. It's already in nationwide and besides the front, the only thing that they may do is the rear.

If NASCAR ever decided to run 4-cylinder engines in 3000+ lb cars for the top NASCAR divisions, they might as well just shoot themselves in the foot now and use the recovery time to figure out how wrong that would be.

If you're referring to F1, the turbo era in fact did use 4-cylinder engines. Only 1.5 liters displacement, and well over 1000 HP in qualifying trim. They're supposedly going back to 1.6 liter turbo 4's for 2013, 750-ish HP, kinetic energy recovery and arbitrary limits on rpms and fuel flow and capacity. This is not being done primarily to improve competition, but for political reasons.

Meanwhile, I'll watch scraps of most of the Cup races (and all of the two road races) to see how my Fantasy League driver choices are doing that week. Which reminds me I've got to make a few changes tonight . . .
