Default Droid X Pandora Radio 2005 Mustang

I just got the Droid X and I'm wondering if there is a way I can play Pandora Radio through my car. Please explain in detail if you know a solution because I don't know very much about the electronics end of it. Much appreciated! Thanks.

I think you might be able to manage that if you use the mini-usb to USB cord from the Droid X to the USB opening in the center container area. I'm not sure if it'll work though, since I believe that it tries to catalog songs on the device rather than just simply works as an auxiliary jack

You might need an aftermarket head unit to make it work via a male to male headphone input.

Ahh yeah I dunno how I forgot the fact that there's also an aux jack in the stereo normally. I've gotten too used to USB lol.

Only the 07 up has the aux jack. You can add one to a 2005-2006 car from PIE relatively inexpensively, but it's a bit of a pain to install remove radio, tap into constant 12V power, etc. I just put one in and so far, so good.

You need to put in an aux jack. You can buy the PIE for about $50-60. Maybe you can take it to Best Buy or wherever and have it installed. Otherwise you can't plug your droid into the car. Sorry.

Other option is to get a transmitter and it runs off a empty radio channel but it's bulky and gets in the way. I have a scosche one and it actually works pretty well, 2 annoyances is again, size and other if you travel a bit or in the city, you have to constantly seek new channels to feed off.

Whats funny is that they have the mustang console on their packaging. Guess they knew the 05-06 was lacking.
