Looks good...I did mine a couple years ago...I followed these instructions, it is more intimidating than difficult, you can't really screw up the way the plugs are secured in the harness'... check this link out http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/ValveCover.htm

I used taco bills diy as a guide for removal. Took about 20 minutes per side.

Once removed, I cleaned them with engine degreaser, sanded them with 220 grit, 3 coats of primer, then basecoat.

What type of paint should be used? Would any rattle can work, or should you go with a engine paint ext?

Yes use engine paint...I did 2 coats engine primer, 2 coats Ford blue, and 2 coats of clear...

looks great... Takes more then 20 minutes a side to get em off, too. (unless you have done it many times before) I powercoated mine..

Yeah you're right, maybe 30 per side, but it's much easier following tacobill's instructions.
