It was 70 degrees here today...at sea level.

The guy who tuned my car today, while not as reputable as Blow By or Brenspeed, said the same the that BBR and Bren said: the cams are too aggressive for the Saleen. I guess the Saleen makes great power with such low boost, while the Whipple I guess uses more boost than the Saleen. I would love to think its not the Hot Rods but these guys I would think know more than me and most of us on the forum.

I'm just trying to figure out now if I want to spend the money to get the DR FI cams or the Comp cams designed for Twin Screws...The Comps are $650 and it'll be around $350 for the install here, so for a $1000, I could pick up potentially an extra 5 psi of boost about about 80rwhp...sounds like a deal to me!! I'm just worried if I just swap the pulley, that I'll get a few more psi, but I'm still forcing all that air into the motor and it might get dangerous...

Oh and the tuner today said that even with a proper dyno tune, looking at my chart, I might get another 20-30whp but thats about it.

now granted the longtubes are gonna get more out faster so your can may actually run at a lower boost level also...

well, its not vacuum, its not the actuator, its not the unit itself. The two people who told me what it was and how to fix it were right thus far...I made and extra 68rwhp with just 2.5-3.5 psi and great torque numbers on their guidance. I'm gonna stick with what they say. I really hope they're not wrong because that will just be a costly troubleshoot swapping cams. And by the way, neither of them are gaining from this as all work will be done local...they're just trying their best to help me out.

I think I'm gonna do the cams so that I don't max out the potential of the S/C too early by getting so small a pulley.

I think ur on the right track man. Especially if three tuners and Saleen say the same thing about your current cams. I woulnt get caught up trying a bunch of different tuners.

You'd make MORE power with supporting fuel mods, a smaller pulley, re-tune and STOCK Cams.

Unless you want the lope.. then I understand

That's drivel. Gearing and PSI from superchargers are not related. It's not the same as a turbo.

4.10s will effect overall readings on the dyno for power, but not PSI.

Well I have never heard of the cams making that kind of difference but I hope they are right. Definately want to know what the end result is.

Ya by the time I try a tuner I could have gotten the new cams in and had an idea if that worked. I have the fuel mods already...boost a pump and 39# injectors. I really think I need to do the cams. I may goto 373s or 355s soon for traction purposes but for now I've decided to try out the cams
