I am looking at 3 candidates. 1. Flowmaster American Thunder Axle Back. 2. Borla "ATAK" Axle Back. 3. Pype Bomb. I had an F-150 5.4 x/Magnaflow, and a RAM 1500 318ci with Flowmaster. Both were ok. I want loud with a little Rap, but not deafening @ 70 with the cruise on.

From watching LOTS of youtube vids, I would rank them like this:

1. Bassani
2. Borla ATAK
3. Flowmaster
4. Magnaflow

I really like the Flowmaster sound so it is a hard choice between the Borla and the Flowmaster on your list for me.

I'll have to check out Bassani, new brand to me. I may go with the Flowmaster for now. I like the Cat-Back Borla too, but that may wait until later.

I have the Borla Touring system on my car and I personally love it, which makes me feel that the Borla ATAK system would also be great. However, if you're a flowmaster fan, they're far cheaper than anything Borla offers which is something to take into consideration.

Make use of youtube though, that's the best way to figure out exactly what you'll personally like

I have the Borla S type axeback. I know the Atak is louder but The s is loud and super quiet when cruising the highway. I'm sure the atak would be some what the same. I've used Flowmaster, Bassini and dynoMAx and Like Borla the best.

Very good to know. I just love the way Bassani sounds but you definately pay the high price, that's forsure. I will have to check out the Borla S-Type; haven't really heard any clips on it yet.

I listened to the latemodelrestoration clips and the one with the American Thunder axleback only, sold me on it. To me, at least, it just has more of that classic Mustang sound and rap that a lot of the other axlebacks don't reproduce.
