wrench size for cleaning throttle body
i'm gonna clean my throttle body today, head back to school tomorrow and i don't have any tools up at my house. i'm using my dads tools to do this. i've been able to get the top screws off on the throttle body, and i've had to use an extender to try and get the bottom too off but i don't have the right size sockets. i think the top two used like a 3/8 or a 5/16, idk but does anybody know what the bottom two would use? my dad is telling me not to mess with it, saying that i'll mess something up. i've told him probably 10 times that i've made sure i know how everything is supposed to come apart, i got the crc throttle body cleaner at autozone yesterday. thanks for the help, i know its a retarded question, but i wanted to make sure i have the right size sockets to complete the job and have a clean throttle body

I'm not sure if I would spray anything on it with it being electric. When we do fuel system cleanings at work and they are electric, we turn the key on and have the customer hold the gas pedal to the floor. Then we take the swab and clean it from there.

I have taken mine of and cleaned it a few times with no issues as have many others. Its either 8mm or 10mm. You can also pick up some MAF cleaner and do that too while your there. Its really easy and never a bad idea to keep parts like that extra clean.
