Default Trufiber GTS-4 hood and rain

I am thinking about purchasing the GTS-4 hood, but before I did I wanted to ask if anyone had any issues due to rain getting in through the vents. My car is a daily driver and sits outside 24/7.

I have the hood, no problems here with the rain getting in. It shouldn't affect anything. Mine is on a v6, so you may want to see if a gt owner says anything. Also, the hood is basically the same as the good on a super snake or a GT500KR, so I imagine it should not be a problem.

Mike, I have a Cervini's '67 hood and the scoops are open. I drive the car everyday in every weather, and have not had any REAL problems. I do notice that water tends to lay in the valley of throttle body every once in a while - and the engine tends to get dirtier than before. But I can live with both.

Great! Thanks for the replies. Another question... Are hood pins needed or will adjusting the hood stops be enough to reduce any flutter? I do a lot of interstate travel and really don't want to see my hood shaking.

Hood pins are generally a good idea for aftermarket hoods.

Your engine gets wet with or without having a hole in your hood, nothing to worry about
