Unhappy Moisture in Headlight...Help?

Alright guys so I got a touchless wash about a week ago (It was dirty and I had no other way to clean it at that time) and this is what happened and it will not go away. How can I fix this annoying problem, besides the obvious which is buying a new headlight...Thanks

(And I will never get any other wash unless its by my own hand, I learned my lesson)

Remove the light,
get a hairdryer,
blow through the hole.

^-^

Maybe try and use some silicon to re-seal that headlamp up afterwards? Preventative maintenance.

Honestly, nothing bothers me more than head/tail lights with moisture in them lol. I feel your pain, had a buddy with a mazda 3 that kept getting water in the tail housing.

We just took the taillight assembly out, and removed the bulbs and let it sit out for a day or so and the water evaporated. Next week that crap was back! So we got out our heat gun and split it open at the seam where the plastic backing meets the clear headlight/taillight portion. We opened it up, cleaned it, then applied "aquarium silicon" and clamped the two pieces back together for about 2 days.

Good as new! NOTE: This was for a 2007 mazda 3, and the process may be much more complicated for a mustang, I have never attempted it with our model car, so I would not know.

Hope this helps.

I feel like this forum could use a sticky thread composed of ghetto style repairs for people trying to fix the little problems on the cheap hah. I think we all have our own tricks and sometimes they can really save a bunch of money. This is one of those perfect examples lol

Haha I'm 19 and currently almost all my money goes to the car payment/insurance/gas so I'm sorta lacking there so if I can fix this for free I would love that lol

Oh I feel ya, I'm the same way. Things get costly with cars quickly and any way to cut corners and do it safely, I'm all for. I just posted up some pictures of my jimmy rigged blackouts of the CS fascia fog light holes, sometimes the cheap easy fixes work just as well as the official ones!

Oh man, I feel for both of you guys lol. 19, and the bulk of my cash goes towards college or maintenance on the car. I love her, but always a close second...

Just recently ghetto rigged some foam and washer bolts on my new muffler to keep it from scraping my bumper lol. You really have to get creative with these fixes sometimes!

I had a fogging issue on mine from the inside. I took the light bulb out and removed the o-ring, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and put it back together. Hasn't fogged since.
