Default Fog light Switch failure need help

Last night my light switch broke. Basically the light switch won't pull out for fogs and when my normal driving lights are on the fogs stay on. Is there a way to fix this myself withoput buying a new switch. Thanks guys for the help.

You can try taking it out and pulling it apart to fix it, but I would bet on having to buy a new switch.

How did you break it, if you don't mind me asking?

So it's like stuck down? Like, you can't pull it out at all?

Did you try pulling it out when the selector was NOT on the On position first? I know mine will only pull out if the switch is in the Headlights On or Running Lights On position...

Good luck.

Hey thanks for all the help guys. Yeah when I turn on my regular driving lights, I can't pull the switch out for fogs anymore. I try pulling and it doesn't stay out it goes back in. But my fog are on though even without pulling the switch out.

Sounds like an internal failure of the switch. Even if you could repair the switch, I suspect it wouldn't be long before it goes again. Bite the bullet and replace it.

I never been shot before I don't want to bite the bullet
I guess I'm going to need to buy a new one.

Looks like the headlight switch is $56.79 at RockAuto http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
