Wouldn't a flat or gloss plack auto paint looke better, if preped and primed correctly?

idk.... i have heard great things about plasti dipping them.. just looking into it a little deeper before i make my move.... i looked on youtube and there are bunches of people who have done this and the results look great... taking them off to paint them requires some skills and there are lots of things that can go wrong... plasti-dip just peels off if you dont like or mess it up... still up in the air about it though... wish they just sold black gt badges...

I've had all my emblems dipped for about 8 months now. It's better than paint IMO because if you don't like it you can just peel it off...yet it's still strong stuff. Mine have been through 110* heat, below freezing mornings, touchless carwashes...you get the idea. I did put a few more coats on the front emblem just in case a rock hits it but so far so good.

I've heard you can also use it as a primer but haven't tried. Oh yea I also dipped my laptop lid...turned out good and no more fingerprints.

I'm not sure about the Plasti dip, though I've heard some good things. I'd recommend Krylon Fusion.

Take a look at these first though.
