Removing my spoiler

RE: Removing my spoiler
I think the spoilers they have been putting on them look like something off my mom's Grand Am.

RE: Removing my spoiler
Some advice about battleing the 3M tape when removing the spoiler:
Although you can remove it by rocking it back and forth, there is a chance that you can damage the trunk lid in the process (seen it done before). This is especially true if you are a relatively strong person. I suggest you use some fishing line to cut through the tape as someone else gently pulls up on the the spoiler. Simply saw back and forth while holding the line in both hands(I highly siggest gloves for this, it cuts you fingers pretty good as well). This is almost like flossing your teeth except you do not want to use fishing line for that. You may run into the plastic washers as you advance the line through the tape but you can just switch from front to back or vice versa to get to the rest of the tape. Braided line like spider wire or power pro works even better than the monofiliment does. This process will ensure you do not hurt your pony and it takes less time. I hope this helps.

RE: Removing my spoiler
Excuse me for brining up an old thread...
Doobs... I'm getting one!
I just didn't know it was also called "Sheby Spoiler"
QUESTION:
I still have my stock wing, I'm going to have my hood, duct tail spoiler and other parts sent to the painter. Do I take off my existing spoiler so that the painter can install the duck tial? I'm having stripes painted.
ORIGINAL: doobs
