Look at it as an excuse to upgrade to the GT-CS rear bumper. Thats what I would do. But then again, thats my fancy.

Costs me $569 to replace my rear cover with a new one and have it painted. Installed it myself. I went with the stock GT as I prefer the way it looks over the others.
Don't waste time and money trying to fix the old one.

*** $150 being the difference in cost between the GT/CS and stock GT bumper cover. If shell cover the cost of the stock GT piece, you throw in $150 and youve got the GT/CS rear. Might be a lil more for paint tho too if you get the diffuser left black
