Pinion seals are very easy to replace. Yes, they can tell gears have been swapped without opening it up. But only IF they take a moment to check. You mark on the yoke to the differential housing with grease pen or similiar marking device. Rotate either rear tire and count the number of revolutions the driveshaft makes for every one tire revolution. With 4.10, obviously, the driveshaft will spin slightly more than 4 times. Versus stock gears of 3.5 times.
If they cover it great, if not, its really a small repair cost. Dont sweat it.

They can tell it has gears without opening it, probably when they pull it in. They'll notice that they get up to 5 MPH in the lot and it's at 4K Rpm! LOL!!! But yea, a tech who knows and is paying attention will know.
As far as the pinion seal, do it yourself. If you did the supercharger and things like your headers yourself, hell, the pinion seal you can do blindfolded with your feet!!
