Pinion seal replacement gone BAD!!!
I'm heading down there now. I am gonna ask him again, "how exactly did you put the pinion nut on, did you use an impact gun?"... If his answer is yes and he put it back where the nut originally was, I am going in the front and flipping **** on the service advisor who originally said this was my fault cause I didnt tell him about the 4.10s..... I am steaminggggg right now!!!!!
Yeah, calm down. No need to get worked up over things in life. That'll lead you to an early old-age and early death.
I'm still laughing about the marking the pinion nut comment. That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time!

UPDATE -- Went to the dealer this morning before class and they had everything apart already. The pinion bearing was completely shot. He also pointed out that this has "been going on for a while", cause on the pinion shaft itself where the bearing sits on there are scratches and pretty deep marks (will upload a pic later on). Also he said it took him an hour to get the bearing off the shaft cause it was literally stuck on there. The Ford mechanic seems to think that Realspeed (shop that installed my 4.10's) actually overtightened the pinion nut, than backed it off to where it was supposed to be and when they changed the seal and reomved the nut, everything fell out of spec, OR they reused one of the pinion bearings which couldve been damaged... I will upload the pic ina little to show the scourging that the bearing was causing on the pinion shaft. I asked my both my father and gf's father, and they both said that damage was not caused in the 3mi I drove with the grinding noise so I am not sure who to blame for this as of right now. The dealer is replacing all parts, bearing, ring and pinion (yes with 4.10s), seals and all and it will be warrantied through Ford.
Not sure if this is a good thing that it actually happened now, instead of god forbid I was driving 70mph on the highway and the bearing decided to just give out and possibly cause an accident, OR WORSE.
I miss took him when he said he marked it and put it back where it was, he said he set it back to the exact torque spec it was at before. I asked a few times and he said no he did not use an impact gun, only thing he used it for was to get the nut off.
Blacksmoke -- I understand fully what you are saying lol, cause I hate reading long paragraphs on this forum and often time end up not reading it. Its just kind of hard to fit all the information in a little explanation.
I am calmer now, still aggrivated that my baby is still there, but hey **** happens. I think what got me so NUTS over it, was I had no clue what exactly was going on with the car. I also told them NOBODY IS TO DRIVE THIS CAR UNLESS I AM HERE. They agreed! They have been actually really nice over this whole thing. Guess slipping a $50 in there pocket does a lot.

Now that poor dealership is married to your rear end. I feel sorry for them. Hopefully their work and parts last well beyond your agreed warranty period. Did you at least apologize for acting like a tool when it was determined it was your/previous shops fault?
I plan on selling the car once I hit the 36k mile mark so as long as their work last me until than I am good. There was no need to apologize, cause I never actually flipped on the dealership. I was pissed for sure, but never took it out on them.
After 36K, you're not actually planning on building another car are you? LOL!!
On a serious note, yea, you got lucky and have a cool dealership. They absolutely did not have to warranty that, especially since it was already "tampered" with.

if its my DD, than HELLLLLLLL NO lmao!! I am so paranoid with it cause its my DD and way of getting everywhere and if something happened to it I would be screwed. I was fortunate enough that my gf's father let me use his work truck this week. My next car will definitely be another mustang, but wouldnt go more than the usual boltons with it and it must have 3.73's from the factory. A dealer near me has a black 5.0 premium 6speed with 3.73s.... boy its so tempting, and with boltons they are making what I am making now!!!
I really feel that adding this blower wasnt the smartest move I've ever made. I can honestly count on one hand how many times I would get on the car in a month (this is before the blower), but I came across a good deal and had the money for it so I jumped on it. Who knows though, I may LOVE the car when I get it back and actually drive it. I mean I only drove from JDM to my house, than it sat in the garage for a day until I brought it to the dealer, so I basically only drove like 20mi since the dyno tune lol. Most of all I just need it to be reliable, but when I get it back I will try and be less paranoid.
And yes my dealer actually seems to be pretty cool. Its still a thought in the back of my mind though, that maybe they messed up when they did the pinion seal and this is just their way of "covering it up".... But who knows, as long as I get my car back the way it should be.

Sounds like they are finally starting to get things done the right way and allowing you to call the shots etc.
If I were you, maybe you should consider something less.. hmm.. risky lol
I have owned three cars since I first started modding and one way or another something ended up breaking. Either my fault (most of the time lulz) or by accident(wreck), but in the end you have to either deal with it and go on, or it'll stop you dead in your tracks.
I wouldn't take any of it back though.. I had the time of my life and I learned the most about modding/cars etc.
