Recently got a 007 Mustang V6 Premium. When you open the trunk with the key fob, it opens but almost looks closed. I'm sure it came from the factory this way, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to replace the trunk struts so that the trunk would pop open either half way or all the way.

I find it amusing that it sounds like a gunshot but only opens a couple milimeters. Talk about bark over bite...

Personally, I don't WANT mine popping up on it's own. I like that it still looks closed when I hit the release.

I have a V6 Premium w/ pony pkg. I have what I call the flat spoiler. I don't like pulling on it, especially on the ends. If you have a ring on or keys in your hands, you may scratch the bumper if you reach down to the bottom below the key slot.

Yea, if you hit the fob trunk release accidentally
in the rain while inside the house/work, you dont
want the trunk to pop open all the way.
You could come out to a rain soaked trunk/interior.
But to each their own.
A secondary gas shock would be needed.
I want mine to pop open just enough to
activate the trunk ajar light as it does not
do this right now. It takes a few bumps going
down the road to get the trunk ajar warning...

Just think about all the busted jaw lawsuits
ford would have if it popped open all the way
when released...
