Today, I went to drive my son to school. It was about 40 degrees outside. My car jumped out of first at two different stop signs. I had stopped, shifted into first, and went to take off again. The gear shifter moved and vibrated out of first. I had to reshift. Is this the classic problem people are having with this transmission? Its the first time I have had this happen, and I have 3500 miles on the car. Its also the first time it has this been cool in the morning.

Most of the problems I have been reading about regarding that transmission have been about grinding and failure to go into gear... however, i think I read about a small number of posts regarding popping out of gear... either way, it doesn't sound safe. I would high tail it to the dealer and see what they say.

When my 2011 GT is cold and until warmed up it takes two clicks to get into 1st. After it's warmed up it works fine.

yeah what does that mean when it takes 2 click" ? cause that happens to me then i take it out of gear then do it again , then i just feels like 1 click" wired mmm? and TSB on our trannys?

It goes forward two spots. Does anyone know how to get the skip shift bypassed? its annoying when it does it. at least with the ss camaro you knew it was going to happen all the time, this car you never know when it will do it
