USAA is A++++ in my book. Offered me a very good deal. $31400 ish and I need to add on my mods and the towing bill still. I am happy since I was selling her for $30k.

I have deer in Indiana too. I have hit one once. Luckily I was driving my gfs car at the time. haha. She wanted me to drive because she doesn't like driving in the dark. Oh the irony. I saved most of the car though, I was able to swerve and keep it under control where it only hit the front corner.

I put HIDs on my mustang and I cannot tell you the number of times it has prevented me from hitting night-time animals as I can see them in the field before they even enter the road.

I am very surprised by this. I don't think that is entirely legal. Using some internet price (especially on auto-trader as these are typically personal ads) is no indication of the value of the car. Insurance should at the very least give you the worth of the car. Anyone can find a cheap running car, that doesn't mean your car is any less valuable.

What if the insurance company found an ad from a rich guy who wanted to brighten someone's day and posted the same car for $1. Does the insurance suddenly only owe you $1 for your totaled car? I don't think so.
Thanks.

Needless to say, I can't stand them..

But mtflyboy25, sounds good to me. I would probably go for that too but I would be looking to lower and change wheels and audio ASAP so I would just get a base model but I believe that's what you already have/had.. Correct?
yeah i already have it lowered full exhaust killer stereo etc. stock wheels right now though...

Congrats! USAA is the best. About a year ago my son totaled his 2005 Suzuki Forenza which was paid off. I was expecting around 5K for it but USAA came through and gave us $7100 for it plus another $900.00 for any pain and suffering he may have gone through.

It wasn't his fault... some 16 yo girl pulled out in front of him and turned out her parents let the insurance lapse on the car she was driving. USAA said not to worry, gave us the money and sicked their lawyers on the girl and her parents. We didn't have to do anything.

Glad to see you're okay, and that the insurance ACTUALLY paid out.

It can be fixed but my assumption is that insurance would rather blow it out as salvage than try to repair. Too many tweaked critical points on the car.

Well they will. I just gave them like 20 emails of receipts for mods.

USAA sounds great, but what are their premiums? It would seem that you might pay significant more for that kind of service.

I interned at Allstate for a summer a few years back. I really don't like them that much either, hence, why I don't work with them. Did you know they don't even give their employees discounts on coverage? And their coverage packages are so bad compared to other companies that more than 60% of their employees don't even have the insurance they work for. (this % is a guess based on the few people I spoke with while working there - by no means a true statement, but it still raises concern). The commercials are very misleading in my opinion.

I paid about $600 every 6 months for full coverage and a 500 deductible. They rock.

So the wait is over and my insurance is giving me $37,782 + towing reimbursement. So I am very happy.

I dont think I was hoping for more haha. Considering I was going to sell it for $30,000.

Also buyback is $8k if anyone is interested. Let me know soon haha.
