Default Lowering questions

I'm considering lowering my '07 V6 and just had a few questions. I was looking at this kit that Sam offers and had pretty much decided on that. (comments welcome) What I was having some trouble on was the caster/camber plates or strut mounts or whatever they're called. I was looking AM and saw that they had added GT500 strut mounts, why are these way less than the other ones? And how do they compare to the ones here? Can I use the GT500 ones instead of the other ones and have it work just as good? One more thing to keep in mind, I put on 18'' wheels with 255/45-18 tires and they rub with full lock turns, will lowering it have any affect on adding more rub? The car is not tracked it's a DD. Thanks.

Edit: That kit I linked above will work with the GT500 mounts right?

you can use that kit with GT500 strut mounts
the reason why they are less expensive is bc they are not adjustable like caster/camber plates.
but the GT500 strut mounts are better/more solid than the stock ones.
if price is an issue, you could go with the GT500 mounts and see how that goes, and upgrade later if needed.

Why do I need to adjust? Will having it be non adjustable cause alignment issues?

I assume you mean Sam Strano. He will not steer you wrong and has much expertise in this area. He'll sell you what you need for your particular situation.

For me it was Steeda Sports, Tokico adjustables, HD strut mounts and an adjustable panhard bar....they all work together well for this occasional autocross/track and daily driver.
