I used a WIX one. Read somewhere that the WIX fuel filters got rated pretty highly.

What color is the paper on a new one?

IIRC, the fuel filter paper on my 1970 Olds muscle car was a tan/brown when new. This was the type that fit into the carburetor inlet.

Just curious.
