Upon closer look, that stupid T is molded on with the ribbed tubing on the side that needs fixed. I can not just put in a new T. I will have to go to Ford. I called them today and complained. They said to bring it in and they would fix it for free. I am hoping that they hold up to that end of the bargain!

If not, just get a generic T for that size tubing and clip all three parts of the hose off the old T, plug in the new T and go...

That doesnt make any sense at all unless its getting REALLY cold there. This is a 2010? There's a wrecked 2010 v6 here in Denver. Get ahold of this guy on Craigslist (friend of mine bought parts off him already...) and see how much he'd charge u to pull the part and ship it to you.

I live in OHIO... we have had an incredibly MILD winter. It was cracked BEFORE it got cold last week. I thought that it was a BS answer too. I mean, isn't that hose meant to hold liquid?! It is an $18 part. $175. Insane!

Add to it that windshield wiper fluid in your area is usually sold at something that accommodates typical weather patterns and the stuff we have here is rated -20.

If you google around you can easily find historical weather records for you area. I just posted a link to mine. I'd walk into the stealership with a printout and a bottle of -20 and say "Really??" You're FIXING this or I'll order the part then take you to small claims court.

I was just ticked on the principal of it all. If we had had the oil changed THERE at the dealer, they would have fixed it for FREE because they KNOW that they add the additive to not freeze. Bologna... like you said. They all have that. Hubby went out and cut the old T out and we replaced it with a new one. Just stupid engineering and stupider service that it was not just fixed for us. Oh well. Lets hope that the new T holds.

It will So now what you do is take it into the dealership for an oil change and when the service manager is standing at the window of your car, turn on the sprayer and give him a squirt in the side of his face. Then be all like "Ooohhhh I'm so sorry! I was just checking to see if it had water in the sprayer, but its blue so it must be right! Wouldnt want that hose to freeze now would we!"
