I'm sure you can still find it on eBay and Amazon or other places if you look around. The AVIC-X940BT should be out by now if I'm not mistaken.

I seen the Scosche kit at CES and it looks alot better then the Metra. The JVC display had a GT500 with the Metra kit and it looked like junk, it definatley looked out of place. The Scosche kit blends better with the interior. The Scosche Double Din opening is about 1" lower then the Metra.

I'll be getting the Scosche kit soon.

I haven't looked into that Sony unit, but I can tell you that I'm completely satisfied with my AVIC-X930BT and I'm loving it more each and every day! All I'm waiting for is the cable to plug my iPhone into it, once I do, I'll be as happy as can be with the unit. In my opinion, there aren't any flaws to the unit.

I think one of the flaws on the GPS side is that it doesn't say the street names. Other then that, the AVIC units rock! Your going to love it even more when you get the iphone cable.

I don't know if I need an amp for the car but that will add on top of the parts I already spent. I figured, if your going to pay to get your interior striped to have wires run, you might as well do it all at the same time.

Remember, your going to spend more time seeing and hearing your car from within, you might as well make what you look at the most look and function PUUUUURTY =)
What backup camera kit do you go with? how did you mount it?

Bought it from Amazon for about $150, it's good and blends in pretty good. Only things is when the license plate lights turn on, the middle section is not lit very well because of the camera budging out. This weekend I'm going to buys some bolts that are not so easy to unscrew, I'm a little worried someone might just unscrew it and walk away.

From the looks of it, the installer ran the cable through the license plate holes to the inside of the car.
