Just drove the 650 moles back from the Super Bowl.
80 mph, 23 mpg.

2011 GT, long tubes, full exhaust, intake and tune.

Three people in the car.

OP, you mentioned only a 2 or 3 mile each way to work drive? There's your problem. Aside from not allowing the car to run at it's optimum temp (as you already mentioned), you use fuel when you start up each time. That is fuel spent to start the motor and not go anywhere.

I don't think it's the gears so much as the driving scenario. Not much you can do about that... I'm guessing you're losing about a 1/2 gallon to full gallon each tank in just startup waste.

srry, couldnt resist.

at 80 MPH frwy, yeah, 23 mpg avg sounds about right, At 75 mph frwy avg, I notice around 24-25 mpg avg.

My best tip is get a cash back credit card from a gas company, that will save you a couple cents per gallon.
