I'm wondering if the camber plate came loose on the driver side, and it's off "alignment". Hmm...definitely let us know when you figure it out. A lot of people start threads when they have issues, but don't update the resolution. Would be really helpful. Good luck.

It's coming from the rear.

I went by the shop and they said it sounded like the wheel bearing. Nothing to mess around with. The performance shop called a Mod friendly Ford who will still honor warranty on lowered Mustangs so I don't have to re-install springs. I'm dropping it off today so I won't know the true problem until they get in there and find the real issue. I'm about to hit 2,000 miles so I'll have them do an oil change while it's there I wanted to do that around 1,500 but just too busy.

Will update when I hear something.

Ok, so... I went to work yesterday morning, still making noise... I didn't drive it to go get lunch to minimize the driving until after work, in which I was going to take it to Ford.

I get in and begin driving to Ford.. Not a freakin sound.. Funny how cars are like that. I took it anyways just so they had a record of me taking it to them for the problem. Two techs looked at it, even jacked it up the rear and slowly gave it gas to see if they could hear anything with the wheels turning.. nothing.. He just said the next time it does it to bring it in immediately and they will take a look. The service manager was very understanding as it is a brand new car, and I didn't even by it from that partcular Ford dealership.

I still haven't heard anything. The service manager said that with the 2011 and 2012 mustangs, the brakes are much bigger than past models and sometimes the little clips can rub... I guess it worked itself back in. Quite the anomaly... I'm still thinking it's a dry bearing... we will see. I'm about to put wheels on it so I will check everything out when I get the new wheels and possible grease the bearing in the hub for assurance.

Will update if problem arises again.

Thanks for posts.

When the shop put the lowering springs in they probably didn't loosen and retighten the LCA and UCA mounting bolts. My guess is since the car is lowered now, the UCA LCA mounts are binding (thus the squeak).

They don't really rotate that smoothly to begin with as they are there for support and control. It's why you are supposed to tighten the arm mounting bolts down at "ride height" by loading the axle or putting the car on a lift where you can control the height of the axle.

Ok ladies and gentlemen,

I have found the problem.

It had stopped (or maybe one or two slight squeaks), but it started up again with a fury.

It began to squeak just driving straight and squeaked horribly when turning left, nothing when turning right.. I was backing out of the driveway and hit a little bump and it squeaked and I said, that's it.. i've had enough!

I finally turned on my brain and decided to look at the right side (side not squeaking) and then take a look the left to see if I could see a difference and that's exactly what I found.

I wish I could include the picture I took from my iphone but i'm not figuring out how to paste the pic without hyperlinking it...? So I apologize for no images.

The little clip that holds the pad to the caliper was rubbing on the backside of the rotor. There is two per wheel. It's a small thin metal sheet. I took a screwdriver, turned it around and gently hit back and boom.. no more squeaking.

So I hope this helps someone in the future if you happen to develop a squeak from a wheel. If you need images, post/message me your email and I will email the image to you.

Thanks all! I appreciate your input and suggestions!

I have a similar, but not identical situation. I get an intermittent and annoying squeak from the last rear, but usually only as freeway speeds with the normal contours of the pavement and also sometimes when hitting big bumps. This all started after I had lowering springs, spacers and an adjustable panhard bar installed. I've had other work done, but not in that area of the car. The shop has spent hours trouble shooting, riding along to hear it and almost completely dismantling every moving part in the left rear with no luck on isolating and fixing the "squeak". Any ideas?
