Before you commit to this make sure you know exactly what it will cost you to install - make sure you have ALL the costs. Like I said, it ended up that it was cheaper to swap the rear ends than it was to build the 7.5 (and it didn't whine like the "indestructible" Richmonds did). It didn't take more than a couple of months to break the 7.5.
Actually when I broke the spider gears in the 8.8 after running with the cheater slicks for a season and a LOT of miles it was cheaper to buy another rear end and swap it than it was to rebuild the 8.8.

I couldn't find one when I was looking last year, so I upgraded my 7.5. I purchased the t-lok and 3.73 Ford Racing gears from Stangmods for $499, and had a speed shop install them for $400. So far everything is fine and they are nice and smooth. I'm not planning any power adders so this works for me.
