Default GT Arrival

A bigs thanks to this board. The information on this board helped my decision making process and also helped me educate my salesman about the DORA. On August 12th, I ordered an 06 GT Premium, Redfire, spoiler delete, painted cast wheels, auto, active anti-theft, IUP, and side airbags. It was delivered today, September 20th. The salesman was great and the process was quick (even with my changing to the "spoiler delete" a few days after I ordered it). I was able to use the graduate rebate (although it took me 25 years to finish) of $500 which amazed my salesman since according to him the Mustang's very seldom qualify for any rebate offers.

The sound of the GT is just incredible. I once owned a 70 Chevelle and it just doesn't compare to owning a new Stang. I just wish that Ford would have made Sirius radio an option - so I can have that 60's and 70's commercial free music flowing through that sound system in a Stang with a retro feel. I did pick up an Aux adapter for the car so I can run the Sirius starbase tuner.

I can't thank this board enough for being such a valuable resource.

Hopefully pictures to follow...

Are you an Ipod user or have kids that are into that? If you have the Shaker system with 6-disc - just make 6 cd's of your favorite music in MP3 format and you'll have MORE than enough music to keep you going I made ONE disc the other day with nearly 100 songs on it - with plenty of space to spare. That system can probably hold nearly 1000 songs unless my math is way off

Congrats Sizzler!

I know you will ENJOY your new ride!

I did the CD thing too... 6 CD's loaded with MP3 is like a month worth of songs without a repeat.. LOL

Yes...6000 songs or so in one systems is alot, but I have over 40gb of mp3s so there is always plenty to listen to.

But yes, Serius radio would have been nice.

congrats on the new car
