Default Messing around with pics. Can anyone gimme pointers?

I downloaded a photo editing app on my iPhone called Snapseed. I'm just kinda messing around with it at work, but I'm trying to add a little more flavor, so to speak, to a few pics. I'm gonna put up two pics I just did, both original and the edited ones. I'm sure they're not that great, but I'm hoping to improve. Is there any tips/pointers/advice you can give me? I'm glad to hear your suggestions.

My advice would to be to buy photoshop. You can get it for 100.00 they also offer a 30 day free trial.

I don't really wanna spend too much money on that just for the reason that I'm not that big on taking pictures and then editing them. This is just something I kinda wanna play around with on my phone. And I hardly ever use the computer now, so I don't think it would be a good investment.

Your edited pics "pop" way more than the originals. Based on your goals and interests, I'd say you're on the right track. Have fun with the program you got....you'll know when and if you're ready for something more advanced.

Thank you! I think this program is a little limited, but I also think they came out great for a first timer.
