I'm having trouble stopping my engine from turning on as i try to take off the harmonic balancer. I was told you can stop it in automatics by holding the bolt on the torque converter. Does any one know where this is?

Front of transmission on the passenger side. There is a rubber grommet you pull out to access the bolts or; you can remove the bottom dust plate or shield at the front. Two bolts and the torque convertor bolts are in view there.

Use a large breaker bar or something that will give you leverage, as it's a tight bolt.

It's also a Torque to Yield bolt, so you won't want to reuse it. Pick up a new one online or at the dealer.
