Wait until there's more aftermarket options.

the reason they are so high is due to the fact that each light panel has 12 circuit boards running the LEDs...thats A LOT of electronics and programming for flipping a light switch, thats for sure...but they sure are nice!
expensive, but be glad they took the time and effort to tint the lights and make them DOT legal

I'll wait til somebody wrecks one and pull the bumper and lights and slap it on my '12

Everyone seems to forget about the extra reflectors that are on the rear of 2013's in order to make them 50 state legal. If you buy '13's and slap them on a '10-'12, you could get a ticket for them.

The counter-argument is tinted tails (spray or vinyl). Folks run them all the time with no trouble. But, should you get a bored cop behind you, there's a risk of a ticket. VHT and vinyl are way easier to remove (if you felt like it) than dealing with illegal $1300+ tails. I'm not sticking red reflectors to my bumper for the sake of owning 2013 lights.

Plus there's a gap between them and the bumper. Why spend that kind of coin if they're not going to fit/operate perfectly (and legally). Pass.

I thought the current markup on some aftermarket parts was ridiculous already.

But this...this takes it to a whole new level. I hope nobody buys them and they're forced to drop the price.

They are not going to care if no one buys them. They are making the money off them by putting them on all the 2013's they sell. If someone really wants the lights they will either cough up the 1300.00 or buy a 2013.

It just confirms that Ford has lost the original idea of the Mustang. A sporty, afordable little 4 seat sports car anybody with a job could own.
