Blew my Raxiom Headlights need help
Well not exactly blew because my bulbs and all my fuses are still good. I bought the car almost new with these headlights on them and the job they did looks like it was done well.
I jumped a friends car at work this week and I'm thinking that's my culprit. I had a conversation with a mechanic friend and he seems to think its my ballasts, which i know nothing about, and I need to buy an HID kit to replace the ballasts and that will be my cheapest route to a fix to the problem.
Anyone had this issue or have any knowledge about this that could give me a couple pointers so I don't waste money on something that's not going to fix my issue..
Also I looked around no burning of wires nothing crazy i do hear a clicking noise when I attempt to turn on my brights and its on both sides, coming from the headlight housing area, I dont know if that was the case before could just be the car, again I have no idea.
Any imput will help thx

My guess is faulty wiring but I've poked around and so far cant figure out where the short is. However its affected both headlights so it has to be close to the battery.

Have ya looked at fuses yet? Thereare no ballasts in a Raxiom headlight. I don't know how faulty wiring would kill a headlight upon jumping a car. It would either work or it wouldnt.
