Wow, I love my 5.0 even more now. I average 19.5-20 per tank on the streets. And I drive pretty hard most of the time.

I stopped worring about gas mileage when I purchased the car. Have fun, when it's empty, fill it up!

+1 Hell Yea. After reading this I appreciate my Average MPG now. im on 20 going on 21 mpg.

^This is not the norm. I average 25mpg in my '06 and I am in no way shape or form the type to drive like a grandma. I will pass 6+ cars if the first one is going under the speed limit 5mph and holding up traffic, lol

OP - If 15-20 mpg's causes a problem on the ole budget, don't get a Mustang.

What do you hope to add to your average fuel mileage with an additive? 1 MPG, maybe? If you've been keeping strict records of your fuel mileage by filling up and then hand calculating, you'll have a reasonable baseline to work from. It usually takes about 50 fill-ups/calculations to even BEGIN to get a decent baseline. Otherwise, anything you do can't be properly judged as an improvement.

Of course, you can spend a few hundred dollars on something that might save you 1 MPG and then you're break-even point might be in a few years.

As my grandma once said when asked about the cost of fuel going up.... I don't see what all the fuss is about. I go to the gas station and put $20 in and I'm done. It's always cost $20 and it still does.

We own Mustangs... when did gas mileage become a concern?
