My on board tells me 18mpg, I suppose its not bad for what I have done but I don't really care, I drive it maybe 5,000 miles a year and the rest of the mileage goes on my Focus that gets 36mpg.

Yeah I never really trust the on board read out. It always seems to be off. It really is just better to self calculate but at the end of the day i don't think any one buys a mustang hoping to get good gas mileage.

Dang, I never worried about my gas mileage until divorce and doing it on my own. I prob would have been better keeping my silverado, it got 18-22 hwy.....and my son's hockey bag would fit in it....lol.
Oh well, I love mustangs, just hope to get mine back on the road soon, driving a VW GTI and it gets super gas mileage. That's gonna be hard to give up.

I know I only have the 4.0 but my on board computer is off too as far as the mpg goes

I did a trip all freeway running 65-70 mph went 520 kilometers or 323 miles I used 46 litres of fuel or 12 us gallons so it gets 26.7mpg but my computer says its around 24mpg

Don't know how some of you guys are only getting 12-15 mpg. Guys must drive like maniacs. I can nab over 20 in the Stang and in the high teens if its only city driving.

My commuter car now is a Volt though, so I'm currently getting over 100MPGe . 2,000 miles traveled, 5.5 gallons of fuel burned. Costs me about .65 per day to charge it, and my round trip to work is 33 miles. I get to charge at work though on their time, so it really only costs me about 32 cents per day to go to work.

True, but think of all the cash Siggy is saving on his daily commutes that can go toward mods and other fun stuff!
