That's it! I can't take it any more i'm making a decision this week on what hood i'm going to get! (but I need some in put)

Goal: get a classic looking shelby style hood on my mustang. I don't want anything cheesy (ie a blocked scoop) A hole that goes under the hood w/o putting it anywhere is just fine with me. Later i'll get a whipple under there anyhow so no need for ducting air from one place to the other.

The hoods:

RKSport 2005 Mustang GTR Ram Air Hood - $661.15 (Ship: +$160)

The Legend - $525.00 (Ship: +$160???)
Is this a functional hood? They never emailed me back!

Also if you know of a cheeper/better place to get either hood, please let me know.

While that hood is damn cool looking. It's not "beefy" enough. I kinda want to add about 10% more "beef" to the '05.

Also i'm putting stripes on it and i'm not sure that hood would look good w/the stripes.

 

speaking of hoods where can i get the shelby hood.. that thing looks dam fine

best looking hood I've seen by far is fangperformance.com's shaker setup- saw the car for real it all ford swap meet in columbus a while back, the pics on the website dont do it justice(they REALLY need to get some high res/multi angle pics on there...). I didnt particularly care for their rear spoiler- think the wing looks better, but man is that hood/scoop package pretty. looks just like a 69- I really think when ford eventually updates the 05/06 model the hood should look more like this one, and have an optional shaker available(then a high quality set of slats and a 69-ish adjustable wing with modified pedestals to fit OEM holes in the trunk lid...oh yeah)

 

ya i like the 2 hoods you chose..both look more agressive. either one would look great imo.
