A/C Recharge
Ok having some issues with recharging the a/c system, I am doing everything correctly, shaking can/tilting as instructed, have a/c set to max cool. The problem I am having is that when the can is hooked up I can not get any refridgerant to enter the system, the gauge spikes to 75-100 psi. I just performed a v8 swap so I know the system should be mostly empty. Anyone had problems with the mustangs low pressure side. I have recharged a/c systems before and I have had no problems like this before.
You did a swap, yes? Meaning the system was open-air? You're missing details of what was done. Can you run down exactly?
Did you vacuum the system? Might as well replace the compressor now, if you didn't. Invest in a decent set of gauges for R134a? The ones that come with the recharge cans are about as accurate as a politician's promise.

I just got done recharging my pick-up and had a similar problem, when you turn the handle on the gauge to open the can of freon you then have to turn the handle back to allow the freon to flow....so basically you turn the handle all the way in then turn the handle all the way out.....I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out why the freon didn't flow until I figured it out....spun the handle out again and it flowed nicely, stupid mistake but, sh*t happens. Hopefully it's something simple like that.
+1 and was the system under vacuum when he recharged it?
If no on either of those, he will be tearing down the entire A/C system in a few months when the moisture in the system destroys it from the inside out....
Not to mention, OP how do you know how much refrigerant is in your system? Not how much you put in, but how much total there is?
