Just and update and to end this thread (hopefully)

Since I got the car back Ive been issue free and am enjoying the mustang again. The service writer said it was a faulty batt and alternator.

Thanks for the input.

That's what happened to my Mustang. During Labor Day weekend, I took it to the dealer and I told them that the battery light kept on coming on and they immediately told me that it could be the alternator. That turned out to be the case and I haven't had any problems since. Next time, the best thing for you to do is to take it to a different dealer.

Now, when it comes to the electricity in our cars, I'm a total noob. Do you mean to tell me that cuz my commute is so short that its actually hurting my battery since it doesn't have time to re-charge? Is this just a mustang specific issue? In the 5+ yrs that I've worked at the same place I have never had charging issues on previous owned cars so if that's the case I don't know what to think!

What were your other cars? It takes more power to start a v8 vs. anything else.
