Default 2013 gt base wheel question??

I'm looking to actually downgrade my wheel size but i'm not positive if its even possible. I've asked a few local shops but no dice. I have a 13 gt base with 3:73 gears. I'm wondering if a 15 or 16 x 8 will fit all the way around? Any help is appreciated!

If its any help i'm looking at the steel d window cragars or the v-5 steel cragars. If there is already a thread started on this subject just point me in the right direction!

I like the old cragar style wheels. I know theyre going to be heavier but i'm not THAT obsessed with being faster that the next guy.

Thanks mellow..i'd hate to spend the money if they wont fit. I've tried to find articles or pics with this set up but cant seem to find anything. I guess this set up is not a favorite which is a big factor in my choice of wheel

thats gonna look awful and handle just as bad when you got sidewalls the size of 31" offroad tires

I think the GT base has the same brakes as my 2010 GT. If so, the smallest you can go is 17". I went through that drill when I got my snow tire set. 16" would not work. Mine came with 19" wheels. The 17"'s smooth out the ride a lot - but trade off is in handling.

BTW, those who are dissing the Cragar wheels, must not understand the '60's.
