Welp, had some fun. I only attended the Friday event and it was mostly non-fords there. Only a few dozen cars showed up though.

It has been a while since I raced my car but I was in the 13.7s on 4 out of 5 of my runs.

GoPro doesn't take very good night footage so I did upload the videos but they aren't the best. I lost in the 1st round of Ford vs World but again it's mostly non-fords going 10 sec or better and using electronics.

The guy I lost to was running an 80s style camaro and his Dial-in was 11.79. I beat my 13.75 dial-in anyway with a 13.71 and a .030 R/T but the guy I went up against had a 11.799 with a .010 R/T. So a near perfect run.

I was launching around 2500 RPMs and not getting much spin but a little bogging, so I could probably bump that up. Next time I go down for a T&T I'll mess around with my launches. 2.2 60 fts was all I could get and a ET MPH of 104... Losing nearly 4 MPH off my best of 13.0.

I'm sure within the 5 years since I've last run the car it's lost some power, but ah well.. I actually beat every car I went up against in T&T including a Genesis Coupe on slicks, 13 GT and a New Edge.

Those videos are better than I expected from the gopro. 11.79 with only a 107mph trap speed. That guy is making great use of the power he has or he was letting off to hit is dial in. I'm sure it's an auto and he just has it all controlled by electronics like you said.

It kinda takes the fun out of it when everything is controlled by a computer. it's like watching sport bike racing today. With most everyone running sophisticated traction control, wheelie control, ABS, it makes for some boring racing.

That 13 GT must have let off too. They all run 115mph through the traps, in case you didn't know.

Yeah, he was trying to reach his dial-in he probably runs 10s. Most of the people there were running electronics because they were allowed to, but I agree it would be boring to me. I just wanted to defeat one of them and would have been happy but in the end I gave a pretty good effort considering its been so long since I ran.

The 13GT, I spent the majority of the night hanging around him and his buddy was running a 12 Boss, and also has a 07 Super Snake. I think the best the GT ran was 13.2, but me beating him was pretty legit he just had a bad launch as you can see with a 2.6 60'.

It's actually a GoPro Hero 1, the 2 is supposed to have a little better low-light video. I forgot to turn it on during the day runs though so that kinda sucked. Next time I go down I'm gonna put it on the rear quarter panel instead though.

A little curious I checked into what the DA Correction would be and it's a 13.3-13.4 @ 106 mph which I can live with. My best times were at Englishtown, NJ which has a DA of like 2-3 ft mostly so no need to correct those.

So a little more practice, rehoning my skills and I might be able to get a 2.0 60ft or better and see comparable times to my best or better.
