My Pypes X-Pipe was delivered today. Quick question for those that have it. I have heard the pipe has to be welded on the down stream side of the exhaust due to sizing mismatch (3" to 2.75") on the clamp.

Can anyone confirm before I pull the H-Pipe out?

I found a 3" x 2.875" Band Clamp on Jegs I am going to try before welding it on. I don't want to have a weld in a place if I need to remove it.
