Thanks Cory, I just checked and there are no recalls. I investigated the door and didn't see any cloggage. I will probably have to wait till after the break in order to see about removing those plugs, but I might take a quick look tomorrow.

I had the same problem.

Bought a shop vac at homedepot for 30 bucks and sucked up all the water.
Using my garden hose and my antenna I got the clog cleared out.
Left the windows down for a few hours and and bought a new filter.

$50 bucks. Surprisingly the antenna is the perfect tool to get the clog out..

You got ripped the hell off, they are probably laughing.

Also I took the rubber grommet out. Ford has some really dumb engineers working for them, there are so many design flaws on this car. They could have just put a wire mesh screen over the cowl but nope! That would be too easy..

Good luck and I hope its really over for you. I first cleaned the grommetts then replaced the plastic grommett foam seals. Nope it was the seam in the cowl itself. I forget the name of the actual part and cant stomach the thought of looking at that TSB one more time. I ripped out my factory padding and replaced it and shampooed the carpet. I ahve been high and dry for a little over a month. Ford should be fixing this so many S197 Mustangs leak. I love the car but Ford should own this flaw. For anyone else going through this I recommend Taking your seat out right off the bat. Pull up the carpet remove the cowl and do water test until you figure it out. If I would of done this right from the start I would of saved myself alot of grief.
