Default 2006 saleen exhaust question

I put a o/r pipes x pipe on a 2006 saleen sc281 and it sound like sh*t. What would make my mustang have a deeper sound? I've read putting a h pipe on would do that or would it be better to put an x pipe on after the converters.

If I remember correctly from my 06 281, it had an H pipe from the factory on that system . . . Not really sure what would make it sound better at this point. Can you post a video of it? I can't imagine it sounding that bad with the X.

Simple...don't put on an off road midpipe. I don't understand why people go from factory cats to no cats and are surprised that the car is loud as hell? Go with high flow cats, or different mufflers.

h pipe will give more of a muscular sounding car x pipe tends to be very raspy! yes high flow cats or try borla, magnaflow, corsa mufflers...

I'm going through my old pictures to verify, but I'm about 99% sure that the stock Saleen exhaust system, made by Magnaflow, has an H-pipe built in already.

H pipes will be deeper. Flow through style mufflers will produce a deeper tone. Longtube headers will help produce a deeper tone. Mine is deep as a **** but still not perfect. LOL

Go to youtube for some real world listening. Use headphones too.
