Changing the fluid is far more important to remove any shaving.
If you have shavings then its a VERY poor install & DONT use that shop again. Gears wont lose/make any metal shavings unless its catastrophic. The gears are so hard they will chew up bolts, nuts, washer & such & not leave a mark on gears. You really have to try to F them up.

No need to change the fluid. Thats gonna cost you $100 for the oil & friction modifier.

If you start to get a "one wheel peel" in a year or two then change out the fluid w/ new friction modifier. If you still get one wheel peel then change carrier gear, most likely just the fluid change is all thats needed.

You won't want to drive 80mph for a long time, Those high rpm's will get annoying after a while if it's a long commute.

They didn't finish I pick it up to or row around 1pm so ill let ya know. Going from 2.73 gears to 3.55 will be a huge difference. Doing 80 my rpms are at 2000 with the 2.73 gears.

You don't need to break in gears or change gear oil after break in. Once the car is back on the ground, you're good to go.
