For those of you who don't know 908SSP, this is his car:

Read the article and it'll explain his take on S197 suspension setup.

My opinion: I'm not saying NOT to buy a strut tower brace or sub frame connectors, but they would be among the LAST mods I would do. (after several other useful mods)
wow i knew he had a ton of knowledge, but i had never seen his car before or what he did. very very cool

I have both front and rear strut/shock tower braces, and I do feel enough of a difference and get less NVH, especially turning in and out of steep driveways...If I got another S197, would I do it again...yes.
And to be fair...for the folks that say these components don't work or aren't worth the money...my question is: Have you actually had them on your own vehicle to test out? If the answer is no, I'd recommend that you try them out before you discount them.

Wow, what a bunch of good info! I always wondered if my front strut brace and lower control arm brace worked. Seeing actual engineers and machinists say they aren't really needed is all I need. I'd go over and see what Sam is running on his car also.

Get a set of real shocks and discard the other crap, then get back to us.
Some of us road race these cars, we know...
