Default Gear install question

Would a bad install cause major vibrations? I only get the vibrations going 80mph or faster. The faster I go the worse it gets when I let off the gas. It only happens when I let of the gas not during acceleration.

i wouldnt think a bad install would cause what you described, but i could be wrong so someone correct me if so. i thought i read somewhere bad vibrations could be coming from a driveshaft issue? not sure though.

That's what I was thinking but that thought came into my head so I wanted to make sure it wasn't that before dealing with my driveshaft

Try unbolting your drive shaft and turning it 180 degrees. They probably didn't put it back in the same orientation.

Moose is correct. The clocked your DS wrong. Slacker installers.......you always mark the DS so you reinstall it exactly the same. Make sure you clean all the locktite off too. You want a clean surface. That should clear up your issue.

Came into say exactly what Moose said.. Sounds like an incorrect drive shaft install.. Easy fix.. Let us know if it fixes the problem or not..

So unbolt it from the trans and the axle and rotate it 180?

I would try the trans first, because that's the easiest. You may need to remove it from the pinion flange and clean the mating surface.
