Default SCT Tuner advice

Whats up guys, need alittle adive from my fellow stang brothers, I recently ordered a Airraid Race CAI for my car the one that requires a tune. Previously I had a 2000 mustang Gt that I bought a tuner for (SCT) free tunes for life...thinking im covered but no. I traded my 2000 in for a 2010 4.6, Tuner is unlocked updated and ready to go, I call BAMA tunes to get a tune written for my 2010 and they say " Free tunes for life are for the life of the vehicle you get the tuner for at the present time" I was under the impression free tunes for life was just that since I paid the 150 for it. I guess not lol. So now im gonna tune it myself, or try to do so and I would like to know what settings would you guys chance, I usually run 93 octane in it. I have the CAI, pypes off road X pipe, Super 44 flowmasters, I would like some more kick and if I can get it tuned that would give me maybe 10-15 Hp.

Better not. I went through the same thing one time. You are going to be way far ahead to spend the $150 and get custom tunes than to try and do it your self. You are going to end up with a nice 2010 Mustang GT that will not run.

You can't. The handheld only allows you to adjust a few benign settings. It's the proprietary software that's held by license holders (i.e., Brenspeed, AM, VMP. etc) that can adjust the fuel mapping, shift points and a host of other parameters that affect performance. The only thing that you'll end up doing on your own is possibly grenading the engine.

Your 2010 is running the stock Bullitt tune for that additional 15 crank HP (maybe 10-12 RWHP) over the 05-09 4.6L's. A good custom tune will likely improve that by about another 10-13 RWHP.

About equal to changing the placement of your rear deck speakers from facing up to facing towards the rear of the car.

Question Mustang Stallion Package

Thanks for the info from previous post. RE:Your 2010 is running the stock Bullitt tune for that additional 15 crank HP (maybe 10-12 RWHP) over the 05-09 4.6L's. A good custom tune will likely improve that by about another 10-13 RWHP. Q: For the 2010 GT what is the recommended tune. Summer Blend Gas here is GA a Mess. Talking with the Service manager in the morning. They suggest the Dealer do the Custom tune due to the Bullitt setup. All advice welcome - appreciate you guys being here for 'real world' - feedback. NOTE: GA Traffic a bear.
