17x9" 10"? Your sides will be 55 so a Nitto Evo 255x55x17 on a 9" rims is perfect.
Check-out American Muscle even if you don't buy they have a tutorial lesson on sizes and types of tire. What is weather in your region? Strip, track or street? You can rotate these still as apposed to staggered. 10" rims on the rear with 275 would also look great. Also lower it, unless it's a mudder to.

It rains in Hawaii, yes? I would not run a drag radial every day. You will hydroplane and crash. Any standing water on the road at speeds over 50mph and the things will float. The tread depth on a drag radial is all ready at the minimum for road use, so any wear and it's hydroplane city.

buy a separate pair of rims and mount them on that. Just change them if there's a good chance of rain.

If you are driving in the rain, the Nitto 555R are a little better. Plus they get better traction and last twice as many miles.
