Default Removing tint film from lights

Soo, I did smoke tint on my taillights and third brake light about a year and a half ago, and for some reason now my third brake light tint has a huge bubble in the middle of it. I tried slicing the edge of the bubble but it won't stay stuck down, so I'm probably gonna have to redo it.

What's the easiest way to remove the old film?

You can usually peel it from the edges using a razor blase. If that doesn't work, spray it with Windex or some other Ammonia based cleaner. Windex/Ammonia will also remove the sticky residue once the film is peeled off.

Peel off as much as you can, then the rest, use orange grit-free hand cleaner to remove the rest. This is how I remove window tint.

And if you can't get it to come up, get yourself some 1500 grit and 2000 grit sandpaper. Use 1500 wet until it's gone, 2000 to smooth it, then polish it.

I think those tint overlays usually peel up, especially if it's just been a year or two, but I haven't personally tried before. I did sand through a protective film on my fogs that I didn't even know was there when I was tinting my fogs last weekend. The 2000 took a good bit of scrubbing before I got through, but 1500 should make it go quicker. Hopefully it just peels though because sanding doesn't really count as the easy way, haha.
